1. Introduction and Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Linked Accounting, LLC (Linked Accounting, we, us, or our) collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit linkedaccounting.com (the Site).

This policy applies to the Site only. It does not govern:

  • The professional accounting, tax, audit, or advisory services we provide to clients, which are governed by your engagement letter and applicable confidentiality and professional conduct obligations.
  • Our separate client portal, payment, and file transfer systems hosted at crm.linkedaccounting.com, which may be covered by a separate notice.
  • Third-party websites we link to, including linkedwealthadvisors.com, which has its own privacy practices.

2. Information We Collect

a. Information you provide to us

When you use a contact, Email us, scheduling, or other intake form on the Site, we collect the information you submit, which may include your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the contents of your message or inquiry.

b. Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and interactions with the Site. We use the following third-party services to do this:

  • Google Analytics 4, for website usage and audience analytics.
  • Google Ads (Google Marketing), for advertising measurement and, where applicable, remarketing.
  • Google Tag Manager, a tag management container that loads the tools above.
  • Google Maps, to display office locations on certain pages.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, to protect forms against spam and abuse. This service collects hardware and software information and interaction data and sends it to Google for analysis.
  • Vimeo, to embed and play videos on certain pages. Vimeo may set its own cookies.

These third parties may set their own cookies and receive data directly from your browser. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and requests, and schedule consultations.
  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Site.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Strictly necessary, required for the Site to function.
  • Analytics, to understand Site usage (for example, Google Analytics).
  • Advertising, to measure and support advertising (for example, Google Ads).

When you first visit the Site, you will be presented with a cookie banner that allows you to accept or decline non-essential (analytics and advertising) cookies. Non-essential cookies will not be set until you provide consent. You can change your preferences at any time using the Cookie Settings link in our website footer.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of specific services using Google Analytics and Google Ads personalization controls.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control, transmitted by your browser.

5. How We Share and Disclose Information

We may share information as follows:

  • Service providers and third-party tools, including Google and Vimeo as described in Section 2, and our website host (Webflow), who process data on our behalf or receive it as part of providing their services.

Regarding sale and sharing under California law: We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of analytics and advertising cookies (for example, Google Ads) may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA and CPRA). You may opt out of this through the cookie banner, the Cookie Settings link or the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our footer, or by transmitting a Global Privacy Control signal.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the retention settings of the respective third-party services.
